    As “the face and voice of the Chamber”, Pete utilizes his 25 years of business experience and vast contact network to vigorously advocate for the business community of southern Saratoga County and beyond.   Follow him on Facebook to join in his travels as he works to connect members with new opportunities.   A former business owner, Pete has been on numerous chamber and nonprofit boards, and makes good use of his science background to be an effective business leader here in New York’s Tech Valley.  Pete also works closely with the Board of Directors to create and implement a shared vision for the Chamber.

    Nigar Hale, MBA
    Vice President of Marketing and Membership Connections

    Nigar’s experience includes 20+ years in business that gives her a marketing perspective on the entrepreneurial and culinary scene of the capital region. Her extensive career in publishing has spanned sales, sales management, acquisitions and marketing.  Nigar’s passion is to use her creative talents to facilitate meaningful business connections throughout Saratoga County for the Chamber’s diverse membership.  She manages marketing for all chamber programs and events including the Annual Awards Dinner, the StartUp Smart Seminar Series and the Chamber website.   Nigar oversees the development of new programs to build an even larger membership and to better serve their needs. Nigar is currently the Immediate Past-President of the Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake Business and Professional Association and she also serves on the Southern Saratoga Chamber Angels Board.

    Liz Roggenbuck
    Vice President of Community and Professional Development

    Liz brings 20 + years of diverse business experience to the Chamber.  Prior to her joining the Chamber in 2000, her background in the Hospitality industry brought her expertise in hotel sales and marketing and all types of event planning from trade and consumer shows, conventions and meetings as well as food and beverage management.  Liz has experience in many aspects of chamber of commerce management including membership development and retention, committee development and chamber event management. In addition, Liz coordinates the Chamber’s Annual Executive Institute Program and is the staff liaison for the Education & Business Partnership and Women in Business Committee, as well as the Chamber’s Leads Groups. Liz has been the editor of the Chamber newsletter for the past 9 years. Liz received her certificate in Nonprofit Organization Management from The U.S. Chamber Of Commerce Foundation in 2013.

    Sheila Whinnery

    Sheila provides day-to-day assistance to both the members and the Chamber team. She is a liaison between the Chamber team, members and the community at large. Sheila brings a tremendous amount of insight to our membership with over twenty+ years of Chamber experience. She is the friendly and knowledgeable person at the front reception and is the first person to address telephone inquiries about the Chamber of Southern Saratoga County and the Saratoga region. Sheila is the point person for certificates of origin, the Executive Education Center space rentals as well as general inquiries. Sheila is a lifelong resident of Saratoga County, with over five generations of County presence including two children and two grandchildren.

    Sandy McAlonie

    Sandy McAlonie is the newest team member and regards her role as Membership Consultant with pride. Following her retirement from her 36 year career in banking, Sandy is embarking on a new career dedicated to the Chamber community. Her passion is to make a difference in both our local and global communities. As our membership consultant, she will be reaching out to the region’s business community to recruit members and strengthen those relationships to ensure members maximize the value of their association with the chamber. Sandy will be leading the Ambassador Committee. Sandy’s experience, and dedication is exemplified by her tremendous involvement within our community. She is the President of the Twin Bridges Rotary Club and is a Rotary District 7190 Foundation committee member. Sandy also serves as a Board Member of the Ronald McDonald House Charites of the Capital Region. She also volunteers at the Ronald McDonald Family Room at Albany Medical Center.
