    Job Description
    Job Summary: 
               
    The Events and Marketing Associate provides support and assistance to the Development and Marketing Manager in the Development Office. The Associate will assist in the planning of events, marketing the events, and design of organizational promotional material.
     
    Duties and Responsibilities:
     
    • Manage event registration, procure and work with sponsors and donors, and track event income and expenses
    • Work with venue, vendors, and volunteers
    • Assist with coordination and set up/tear down of displays at events
    • Design and create promotional material for events, programs – including mailers and brochures, and reports
    • Update organization’s business cards, ID cards, pamphlets and posters
    • Aid in management of social media
    • Assist with website management
    • Administrative support including collating and filing correspondence, mailing, answering phones, and other general administrative work
       
       
      REQUIRED SKILLS:
       
    • Knowledge of marketing and event planning
    • Positive, “can-do” attitude coupled with strong work ethic
    • Ability to organize and prioritize work
    • Ability to adhere to deadlines and budgets
    • Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through
    • Effective writing skills, including proper spelling and grammar
    • Ability to work in a team setting and accept constructive criticism
    • Ability to follow explicit instructions
    • Proficient at Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and the Internet
    • Working knowledge of Adobe InDesign or comparable program
       
      QUALIFICATIONS:
       
    • Associate’s required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
    • A minimum of one year of marketing, communications or event planning experience
