Did you know? A national study by The Schapiro Group found that:

Consumers are 63% more likely to buy goods and services in the future from a company that they believe is a member of the local Chamber of Commerce.
When consumers know that a business is a member of the local chamber, they are 44% more likely to think favorably about it.
Consumers who are told that a business is a chamber member are 51% more likely to be highly aware of it and 57% more likely to think positively of its local reputation.
82% of respondents believe that the local Chamber of Commerce helps create jobs and promotes local economic development. Complete study

Additionally in February 2008, the Times Union reported:

73.7 percent for members of The Chamber of Southern Saratoga County expect their businesses to grow [in 2008] while only 54.4 of respondants regionwide expected the same thing.
Asked to describe their county's economy, just 15.6 percent of The Chamber of Schenectady County members said it was prosperous, while 54.6 percent of Saratoga County Chamber of Commerce members and 68.4 percent of Chamber of Southern Saratoga County members used that term. Complete article
