NYCRAMA to Host Award-Winning Communication Strategist

(ALBANY, NY) – The New York Capital Region chapter of the American Marketing Association (NYCRAMA) announces its October Luncheon, "Your Reputation is All You Have”, Thursday, October 20, 2016 at The Century House, 997 New Loudon Road, Latham, NY 12110, from 11:30am – 1:15pm. Jan Smith of Castle Rock Ranch Group, LLC will educate attendees on how to create and maintain a reputation that makes customers want to associate with a brand.
A business’ reputation is long-lasting and it should be nurtured and protected. When done right, a company’s reputation is a differentiator that drives additional value and sales. Reputation can be destroyed at times of unforeseen crisis. Find out how to prepare and respond during good times, and when issues arise.
Smith is the Principal of Castle Rock Ranch Group, LLC, founded in 2010. The Group is known for reputation management. As an award-winning communication strategist in the Capital Region, she is well known for her long-term role with GE Energy as the company's Director of Communication and Public Affairs. Smith also served as the company's spokeswoman and led a global team responsible for internal communications, media relations, and public affairs across the then $20 billion dollar, 40,000-employee portfolio worldwide. Jan has been recognized as a role model with the Woman of Achievement Award from the YWCA, the Women of Excellence Distinguished Career Award from the Albany Chamber, the Envoy Salute Award from the Albany Chamber, the Community of Excellence Award from the College of Saint Rose, and as a Trailblazer from the Women's Fund of the Capital Region.
