As many Americans delay retirement and remain in the workforce into their later years, employers are increasingly faced with challenges associated with managing this population of workers.This program will help employers and HR professionals recognize the actions and conversations that inadvertently create costly age discrimination claims. Among the issues we’ll cover, you’ll learn how (and how not) to respond when older workers’ capabilities decline but their motivation to work continues, and the characteristics of an effective and lawful early retirement program.

A 2017 Upstate New York Super Lawyers Rising Star in the area of employment and labor law, Rob counsels employers in a broad range of industries, including higher education, non-profit, construction, and health care.
Rob’s practice focuses on general counseling on day-to-day labor and employment issues, collective bargaining, training for supervisors, staff, and Boards of Directors, preparation of employment and severance agreements, workplace investigations, and review of employee manuals and policies.
